Plan a Reunion

If you are interested in planning a class-year or special-interest group reunion, the following information should help you create a memorable event. Reunions can happen anywhere, and at any time. The Office of Alumni Engagement can help you plan and execute your reunion, so please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or need assistance.

Getting started
There are many ways to get your group together. Whether you prefer to use email, Facebook or the phone, you'll need to begin by getting in touch with old friends and classmates. The Alumni Association offers the B-Connected online community and a Facebook page. You can also reach out to alumni through LinkedIn. There's nothing like a personal message or call to get things started; it only takes a few people to organize a great reunion. Take the lead! Get some friends to help plan and spread the word, and you're on the way!

Next steps
Decide when and where your group should get together. The options are seemingly endless! Many reunions take place on campus during Homecoming weekend in the fall. Alumni usually get together at the tailgate party held on Saturday afternoon before the men's soccer game. Also, alumni holding reunions at Homecoming will schedule parties or dinner events on or off campus during the weekend.

Because reunions can happen anywhere and at any time, they can be held at other times of the year in the area where you currently live. If many of the people you wish to bring together are living in the same geographic region, having the reunion close to home may be a good option. Please consider what is best for your group, and choose the venue and date accordingly.

Also, please be sure to take pictures! Photos are a great way to re-live the experience. And, you are welcome to post your reunion photos on the Alumni Association Facebook page.
