The “Cool Connections, Hot Alumni” student-alumni speaker series is a unique and innovative program that connects Binghamton University students with interesting and successful alumni either face-to-face on campus or via videoconferencing technology.

Launched in the spring 2011 semester, the program allows students to make “cool connections” with Binghamton University alumni from “hot” fields and with “hot” ideas.  These events provide an opportunity for alumni, regardless of where they live and work, to speak with students about their Binghamton experience and the transition to their present career as well as respond to student questions and provide advice. This program is a partnership between the Binghamton University Alumni Association and The Fleishman Center for Career and Professional Development.

Space is limited, and registration is required. Registration will open one to two weeks in advance through hireBING. Scroll through our Student-Alumni Events Calendar for information about Spring 2017 events!

"The Binghamton Cool/Hot Alumni programs have been beneficial to me throughout my time here in Binghamton! Ever since my first semester of my freshman year at the University, I have attended these meetings eagerly. The very first Cool/Hot I attended provided me with a mentor with whom I still remain in contact with today. If it weren't for the opportunities the University has provided me with to connect with alumni, I would not have gained as much experience and knowledge about the field of law. Binghamton University and the Cool/Hot Program have been instrumental in my college success!" - Steve Lazickas '17

"Cool Connections, Hot Alumni is a fantastic opportunity to make a life-long connection through the informal and unique setting making these events heavily sought after by students. Relevant, engaging and informative. " - Kevin Zhang '19
