Dallas alumni gatheringThe March 24 gathering in Dallas capped off the Alumni Association's Texas swing, which included stops in three cities in a five-day time span. Alumni gathered for a reception at Victory Tavern, then saw the Dallas Mavericks take on the Minnesota Timberwolves in NBA action. Keith Hurd '88On March 26, alumni gathered for an exclusive event, featuring one of the most exciting shows on Broadway, along with a VIP post-show party. The Alumni Association sponsored an event which gave graduates the opportunity to see Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark at Manhattan's Foxwoods Theatre. At a reception afterward, Keith Hurd '88 (at far right of picture above), who oversees marketing for the show, was available for a question-and-answer session. See more pictures.

WHRW 45th AnniversaryAlumni gathered on April 9 for peace, love and Moe. At an event held at Heartland Brewery Times Square in Manhattan, alumni celebrated the 45th anniversary of WHRW, free-form campus radio. The event was a time for alumni to see old friends, make new ones and talk about the impact of WHRW on their Binghamton experience. Pictured are Sandra Cirincione '84, Gerald Mullany '84, Will Hermes '84 and Ann Herman '82. See more photos from this event

Gary Shapiro '77, president and chief executive officer of the Consumer Electronics Association, spoke to the Binghamton Forum on March 31 at Traditions at the Glen in Johnson City. He told the crowd in attendance that innovation is the key to the nation’s ability to succeed. “Our ability to innovate depends on certain things that historically we’ve done right, but we are making decisions that are wrong,” he said. “One of the biggest is shutting the doors to the best and the brightest.” Read more in Inside BU and see the video above from the University's YouTube site.

Rugby alumni game

Lace up the boots and come on back! This year's annual Rugby Club Alumni Games will be played on Saturday, May 7.  The women’s game will be played at 10 a.m., and the men’s game is scheduled for noon, on the East Gym Rugby field. Last year, more than 100 alumni returned for the games and relived the wonder years on the hallowed pitch. For more information about the clubs or the games, contact Craig Dube, assistant director of club sports. Even if you can’t make the game, you can still get involved! The men’s club alumni are reorganizing and creating an alumni network to support the current club members. If you are interested in connecting with the alumni group, contact Matthew Fromm '99.
