John Tagg is a scavenger of sorts. Walk into his office in the Art History Department and you'll find an amazingly uncluttered desk which, like the chairs in Tagg's office, has been rescued from the discard pile. He values "the old," he says. He also values the connections he has made for himself and his students across campus and beyond its borders.
Spring is just a few weeks away, but we're already thinking about fall. Make plans today to join us at Homecoming 2010, scheduled on campus for Friday-Sunday, Oct. 8-10. All alumni and their families are welcome.
Homecoming 2010 is now on Facebook; become a fan. We hope you'll share the page with classmates so they'll become fans as well.
Visit the Homecoming website, where you can see pictures and videos from previous reunion weekends, and send e-invitations to your friends. Soon, you'll be able to add your name to an online attendee list. Reunions are only as memorable as the people who attend. Start spreading the word today!
We extend a special invitation to alumni who graduated in 1960, 1970, 1980, 1985, 1990, 1995 and 2000, to join us for a great fall foliage weekend in Binghamton. Also, Homecoming will celebrate the following anniversaries: Harpur College (60th), men's soccer (50th), School of Management (40th), and Colonial News/Pipe Dream (40th).
If you'd like to get involved in Homecoming, contact Rose Frierman, senior director of alumni relations.
