Gerald F. Mollen '74 recently received the Outstanding Prosecutor Award from the New York State Bar Association in recognition of his efforts to fairly administer criminal justice. Mollen has served as district attorney in Broome County since 1987 and is a member of the Binghamton University Alumni Association Board of Directors, chairing the board's Lifelong Learning Committee.
Pamela Agan-Smith '81 of the Greenville, N.Y. Central School District, was named 2015 School Psychologist of the Year by the National Association of School Psychologists. Agan-Smith has implemented several innovative programs with regard to both learning and instruction and students' mental health. In response to an increase in evaluation referrals for reading disabilities, she led teachers and administrators to begin a new early literacy intervention program and to shift to more balanced reading instruction. She organized summer in-service sessions for teachers. Her efforts resulted in better instruction for all students and a decrease in both reading failure and referrals for disability evaluation.
Robert Kline '86, MBA '90 was named one of America's Top Financial Planners for 2014 by the Consumers' Research Council of America. The listing appears in the Guide to America's Top Financial Planners, an online search engine for people seeking financial planners who have been recognized by the industry. His firm, NFP Corporate Services (NY), LLC, is located in Endwell, N.Y.
Victor Filadora '93 is chief of clinical services for Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, N.Y. In this role, he is responsible for managing ambulatory services, perioperative services, sterile processing, pharmacy, patient and family experience, endoscopy services and therapeutic services programs, and also provides leadership and guidance to clinical department administrators throughout the Institute.
Marc Silverberg '05 joined The Rubin Group of Oppenheimer as Director - Investments. Based in New York, Silverberg helps manage a midstream energy master limited partnership investment strategy on behalf of clients.
