Don't miss Homecoming 2009
Now in its ninth year, Homecoming - scheduled for Oct. 2-4 - is a great time to come back to campus, see how much has changed, and reconnect with faculty, staff and friends. Last year, more than 1,000 alumni brought their friends and families to campus to participate in a variety of educational, informative, nostalgic and just-plain-fun events.
All alumni and their families are welcome. We’ll have special activities for the classes of 1959, 1969, 1979, 1984, 1989, 1999 and 2009, as well as gatherings for young alumni (2004-08), and geology and philosophy majors (join the Facebook group). This year, Homecoming will celebrate the 50th anniversary of Dickinson Community, the 30th anniversary of the Caribbean Student Association, the 20th anniversary of Pi Lambda Phi, the 20th anniversary of the African Student Organization and the 25th anniversary of the apartment communities. There will be reunions for Telefund callers, Call Center SIAs and Rosefsky scholars (visit the group's Facebook page).
And, you won’t want to miss Tailgate ’09 — a huge outdoor barbecue, followed by a men’s soccer game and dazzling fireworks display.
Contact your classmates now and encourage them to come back to campus. The more of your friends who attend, the better Homecoming will be.
Be sure to visit the Homecoming website on a regular basis as we get closer to the fall. We'll continue to update the schedule of events. Our easy-to-use registration system will be available on Aug. 3. You'll be able to see who's planning to attend.
Also, please consider making a gift to the Binghamton Fund in honor of your reunion.
