A Day of Service. A World of Difference
What are you doing on April 18?
Would you like to make a difference in your community, serve others and partner with fellow alumni in impactful ways? If so, consider joining us for the inaugural Binghamton University Alumni Global Day of Service!
Alumni response to this exciting initiative, co-sponsored by the Binghamton University Alumni Association and Center for Civic Engagement, has been tremendous. About 50 alumni have volunteered to serve as Site Leaders to coordinate meaningful service projects in their communities on April 18 and at other times during the weekend.
Registration is now open for service projects led by alumni in the following regions: Binghamton, New York City, Nassau County, Westchester County, Jersey City, Stamford, Conn., Syracuse, Rochester, Boston, Chicago, New Hampshire, Lakeland, Fla., Raleigh, N.C., Rhode Island, Southern California and Washington, D.C. You can see the full list of projects and register online by visiting the Alumni Global Day of Service website. Some projects have filled, and others are expected to fill soon. If there is a project that you would really like to be involved in, be sure to register today.
If our designated alumni-led projects are not convenient or of interest, or a project is not planned in your region, we hope that you'll consider conducting independent service either on your own or with a small group of fellow alumni, family or friends. You'll have an opportunity to share your service story with us and be counted among the Binghamton University alumni making a difference on this special weekend. Learn more on our website.
If you have any questions, contact Melinda Holicky, associate director of alumni volunteer engagement, at email@example.com or 607-777-6206.
With your help, we can make a world of difference on April 18!
