Alumni Leaders Conference energizes campus community to increase alumni engagement
Alumni volunteers returned to campus in late April for the Alumni Leaders Conference, an event that informed them about the University's progress, gathered ideas to help the momentum continue, and inspired these dedicated alumni for continued service. At the conference, the Alumni Association presented the Binghamton University Plan for Alumni Engagement 2015-2020, the result of a first-ever campus-wide collaboration on alumni relations. Conference offers forum for alumni to mentor current students
The Alumni Association partnered with the Fleishman Center for Career and Professional Development to connect alumni with students who have demonstrated academic excellence as well as leadership through on-campus involvement. They participated in an alternative networking event centered on the concept of leadership. Read more.
Awards ceremony celebrates stellar alumni achievements
The Alumni Association presented its 2015 Special Recognition Awards during a ceremony held in Binghamton on April 25, at which actor Ruben Santiago-Hudson '78 was the featured speaker. Read more.
A day of service. A world of difference.
The inaugural Alumni Global Day of Service was enormously successful as nearly 400 alumni participated in service projects in more than 50 locations spread across 12 states and two countries. Read more.

CCPA to enhance Latin American programs, thanks to alumnus
The College of Community and Public Affairs at Binghamton University got a significant boost when Jerome A. Lyman '78 made his gift to support the college and its programs with Latin American ties. Read more.
Dean of Libraries named
Curtis Kendrick, University Dean for Libraries and Information Resources at the City University of New York (CUNY), will become dean of libraries at Binghamton University, effective July 15. Read more.
Crowdfunding campaign supports undergraduate researchers
The first Binghamton University crowdfunding campaign is now underway! Here's your chance to easily support the undergraduate Summer Scholars and Artists. The Binghamton University Undergraduate Research Center offers the Summer Scholars and Artists Fellowship to support undergraduates in special research, scholarship or creative activities during the summer. All contributions to individual scholars support the Undergraduate Summer Scholars and Artists Program. Contribution totals are updated on a nightly basis. Join us at Homecoming: Oct. 9-11
Spring has sprung, but the fall has a way of sneaking up on us! Make plans now to join us on campus for Homecoming and encourage your friends to do the same. We're putting together a weekend of fun that will help you relive your memories, see what's new on campus, and share advice and perspectives with students. Homecoming 2015 is open to all alumni, and will have celebrations for mid-60s alumni (Classes of 1964-66), the Class of 1990, the MPA 20th anniversary, men's tennis and more. Details will be added to the Homecoming 2015 website throughout the spring and summer.
