My research interest lies in the identification of gene variants that control phenotypic
variation in equine development, behavior and performance. I have created the Institute
for Equine Genomics to serve as a mechanism to improve the quality of life for horses by identifying genetic alleles that may be detrimental within or across equine breeds.
