The University Downtown Center
Where community and the University connect
The College of Community and Public Affairs is located in the University Downtown Center in the heart of the City of Binghamton, putting students, faculty and staff in proximity to the local agencies with which they collaborate.
Opened in 2007, the secure, four-story building is an all-in-one home for the College boasting state-of-the-art classrooms, conference areas, a computer center, library, faculty and staff offices, a coffee kiosk and a student lounge.
Being downtown means that our students receive an advanced hands-on education, while agencies and educational institutions get the tools and resources they need to thrive.
Living and studying in the city also adds something unique to the quality of life for our students. CCPA students are a part of the community — studying, volunteering and living with their neighbors in the Southern Tier.
The city offers something for everyone from the arts, minor league sports, festivals, concerts, parks and a growing number of restaurants.
The local community is a place our students enjoy living, whether it's only during their education or for a lifetime.
