Conference Parking at the Downtown Center

During the CEMERS conference, the parking lot behind the Downtown Center at 67 Washington St. will be open for conference participants. All conference participants staying at downtown Hotels are encouraged to leave their cars at their hotels, since the University Downtown Center is within walking distance. No parking pass is required.

Participants driving directly to the Downtown Center on Friday morning, October 21, will need an access code—available from the CEMERS office—to enter the parking lot. To obtain an access code, please send an inquiry to cemers@binghamton.edu. If you arrive and do not have the code, please just identify yourself to the security guard through the intercom as a conference participant.

On Friday, October 21, there are several classes in session at the Downtown Center until 11 :40 am; there are no classes in the afternoon. During Friday morning, the parking lot may at some point fill up. In that case, the Holiday Inn (next door to the Downtown Center) has agreed to allow CEMERS conference participants to use their parking lot because we have scheduled our lunch at the Holiday Inn. Feel free to park near the Downtown Center in the Holiday Inn lot. If there is a parking attendant on duty at the Holiday Inn lot, just say that you are parking to “attend the BU event” and you may park for free.

The Downtown Center parking lot will have ample available places on Friday afternoon.

The parking lot gate will open freely all day Saturday without an access code.

There is ample parking behind the Roberson Museum. 30 Front Street, for the reception and banquet on Friday night.
