Eating Awareness Committee
The Eating Awareness Committee (EAC) is unique to Binghamton University. It is comprised of professional staff, faculty and students from multiple departments across campus.
The EAC's mission is to provide education, outreach and resources to both campus and community as it relates to body image, eating disorders, nutrition, and fitness.
The Eating Awareness Committee is a University-wide group that helps students maintain healthful and balanced eating habits so they can sustain their academic and personal development throughout their college years and beyond. We do this by offering several educational programs throughout the academic year, as well as providing students and staff with consultations and referrals to treatment services on and off campus. Additionally, we continually assess the need for and availability of services for the prevention and treatment of eating disorders among Binghamton University students.
The Eating Awareness Committee includes representatives from several University departments and offices, as well as student representatives.
