Why did you want to join the Dean's Team?
I wanted to join the Dean's Team to help students feel more involved with the community and help plan events for the University.



Matthew

Matthew Blum

Year in School: Junior

Major: Management with dual concentrations in Marketing and Finance (Minors in History and Global Studies)

Where are you from? North Woodmere, NY

Involvement at Binghamton U: Students in Free Enterprise, Student Association Programming Board, Alpha Epsilon Pi

Why did you want to join the Dean's Team?
I wanted to increase the awareness of the Dean of Students Office to the student population and improve the connection between the two.

Year in School: Senior

Major: Asian and Asian American Studies (AAAS)

Where are you from? Brooklyn, NY

Involvement at Binghamton U: Chanbara, BUJA

Why did you want to join the Dean's Team?
I wanted to join so I can add to the amazing work by the DOS office that goes into reaching out to the students. As someone who is always trying to get out of their comfort zone, I feel that a lot of the other students just need help with that as well. I'm looking forward to expanding the sense of community we already have here!

Involvement at Binghamton U: Student Information Assistant at the Call Center, BuScience, Member of Circle K, Knitwits, and ReNewing Committee

Why did you want to join the Dean's Team? 
I wanted to join Dean's Team because it would be a great way to interact with students. At the same time, I would be able to bring about school spirit by creating events that cater to the interests of this diverse campus.

Involvement at Binghamton U: R.E.A.C.H. Peer Educator, Dickinson Leadership Certificate Series, Fundraiser for the organization (P.U.L.S.E.)

Why did you want to join the Dean's Team?
I wanted to join the Dean's Team because I love working with people for the greater good, and Dean's Team's goal is to advocate for students and help our peers out by creating a greater experience for them at Binghamton University. I am excited to do just that!

Why did you want to join the Dean's Team?
I wanted to become a part of the Dean's Team because I felt that I could contribute my ideas to help improve and maintain Binghamton's numerous campus activities.

I wanted to join the Dean's Team because I want to strengthen the sense of community on campus, and help plan fun activities on campus for students.

Involvement at Binghamton U: Resident Assistant in CIW, Tour Guide, Student Association Programming Board, Certified facilitator for the Student Association's Conflict Resolution Center

Why did you want to join the Dean's Team?
I joined the Dean's Team so that I could help the Dean plan events that students will enjoy attending! I also think it's awesome that the Dean is asking students to be involved with the planning of sponsored events, I feel that, as a student, my opinion is valued.

Why did you want to join the Dean's Team?
I wanted to join the Dean's Team because it seemed like the perfect hands-on opportunity to actually work with students and staff and make a lasting impression on the Binghamton University community. I really want to contribute my ideas towards enhancing school spirit and getting the student body more involved and aware of the resources that our Dean of Students Office provides. I also think it is interesting and rather unique how the students on the team area able to shape sponsored events and make a difference.

Why did you want to join the Dean's Team?
I wanted to be a part of the Dean's Team to help foster a closer community by increasing awareness of the services that the Dean of Student's office has to offer.
