Brainprint researchers get additional $900,000

The project, “Brain Hacking: Assessing Psychological and Computational Vulnerabilities in Brain-based Biometrics,” will investigate security vulnerabilities of brainprint biometrics and evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of brain biometrics, according to principal investigator Zhanpeng Jin.

Scholarship Winners

Graduate students earn Avangrid Scholarships

Edward Cheswick and Mark Freithaler had two once-in-a-lifetime experiences.

Both received scholarships from the Avangrid Foundation and Fundación Iberdrola España to pursue post-graduate research in energy, the environment and data science for the next year.

They also both met the royal family of Spain.

Forula-Hybrid Win

Pair of students help build winning Formula-hybrid car

With the help of Jordan Billet and Alexander Linkoff, the Formula-style electric race car topped dozens of other collegiate creations from across America, including those from the University of Michigan, Princeton and the Rochester Institute of Technology. The team won events such as acceleration (75 meters in 6.207 seconds from a standing start) and autocross (agility course) on the way to the title.
