
You are encouraged to attend the Race, Ethnicity, and Place Conference VI (REP VI) in San Juan, Puerto, Oct. 24-26, 2012 – and to compete for funding to get there!
If you're a sophomore or junior geography major, a senior geography major continuing on to graduate study in geography at Binghamton University or a first-year master's student in geography – you're eligible to compete for funding to attend this conference.
How? The Geography Department is hosting a competition among its students that will conclude at the end of the spring 2012 semester. Members of the department's faculty will select the best student poster-papers for inclusion in the REP VI student program in San Juan.
Up to eight students will be selected to receive travel funds of $600, paid registration of $75 and conference meals/reception funding of $150 – a total of $825 in funding to attend an international conference, directed by the Binghamton University Department of Geography.
