Rajesh Burela
“Provide a better
experience...”

1ST YEAR OF GIVING

Rajesh Burela, Class of 2016,
Student Philanthropy Committee vice chair of marketing and publicity
“Tuition only goes so far. I hope by me donating and my peers donating, it snowballs and more people give back to help the University and provide a better experience for students.”

Jeff Gnad
“Give back...”

5 YEARS OF GIVING

Jeff Gnad Jr. ’09, MS ’10,
senior financial analyst, Lourdes Hospital
“Binghamton was the best and most affordable option for me. I contribute because when you receive something of value, you should give back if possible. The opportunities that opened up due to my education compelled me to do what I can.”

It starts with one gift and inspires a lifetime of impact.
Lorna Wells
“It’s an
investment...”

29 YEARS OF GIVING

Lorna Wells ’85, MA ’92,
retired director of advising, Thomas J. Watson School of Engineering and Applied Science
“It has been a joy to support and encourage students from so many backgrounds as they pursue their dreams. ... I saw close up the needs of students and the hard work of faculty and staff. ... Education is a gift that keeps on giving, and giving back is important. It’s an investment in the future.”

Kathleen Lynn
“I’m paying
back...”

37 YEARS OF GIVING

Kathleen Lynn ’77,
business reporter, The Record
“I took wonderful classes and met lifelong friends. Binghamton influenced my view of the world, and I had a terrific experience. I’m paying back to something my family didn’t pay much for and that was very valuable to me.” Future generations have benefited from the value of Lynn’s experience. Her son, Sam Nathanson, is a 2009 Binghamton alumnus. Her nephew, Jack Lynn, graduated from Binghamton in May.

THE BINGHAMTON UNIVERSITY FOUNDATION:

YOUR PARTNER TO PREMIER

The Binghamton University Foundation is a not-for-profit corporation that partners with Binghamton University, volunteers and others working on behalf of the Foundation to raise funds and maintain donor relationships.

The Foundation also manages and invests those funds so it can provide important financial support to fulfill University priorities and campus needs. This support is made possible thanks to the generosity of alumni, parents, faculty, staff and other friends of Binghamton.

Building a strong network of support is crucial to the continued success of the University. Donor contributions help the Foundation offset declines in state funding, which now makes up only 16 percent of the University’s budget.

By making a gift to support the campus, you can have an immediate impact on the lives of students and success of the University. As Binghamton advances on the path to becoming the premier public university of the 21st century, your support is important now more than ever.

We are ready to work with you to find the giving opportunities that best express your values and interests while meeting your financial needs. You can make a difference right now. Currently, 6.6 percent of alumni give in support of the campus, but the path to premier requires a greater level of participation. Help shape the future of Binghamton by making your gift today.

Be informed. Get involved. Be invested. Get inspired.
