Senior Cazal Arnett won the men’s 400 and anchored the winning 4x400 relay team, highlighting the Binghamton track and field squads’ performances at the Cornell Upstate Challenge on April 22. The men placed fourth out of six teams while the women came in fifth.
Arnett, the defending America East Outdoor champion in the 400, clocked a first-place time of 48.03. He then joined sophomore Casey Gilbert and seniors Andy Haupt and Christian Smith to record a facility-record mark of 3:11.82 in the 4x400 relay.

Freshman Ashley Aupont was first in the women’s high jump with a height of 5-7. In the process, she tied Crystal Joseph’s 1986 school record. Senior Adam Quinn was ninth in the men’s 3,000 steeplechase, but his time of (9:01.08) shattered his own school record of 9:08.50.
