Blackboard is web-based software that provides a powerful and easy-to-use suite of tools for instructors to build and manage virtual classrooms. Faculty members can easily build an on-line learning environment for any subject without any knowledge of HTML or any programming languages. Instructors and students can access Blackboard course sites anytime, anywhere, and from any web browser. Courses are automatically created in Blackboard each semester so there is no need to request that your course be added. Common Blackboard Function Workarounds
Faculty have identified a list of functions (below) which are commonly performed through Blackboard but which can often be accomplished in other ways if Blackboard is down. We are working to develop instructions for each, and are open to suggestions for additional functions that can be added to the list.
