Student enrollments for cross listed or merged courses:

There is an issue with student enrollments for cross listed or merged courses. If a student drops one section of a cross listed or merged course and adds another, their enrollment becomes "disabled" in the parent/master section. If you try to manually enroll the student it will say they are already enrolled. The student is already enrolled, but in a "dropped/disabled" state, and an administrator needs to re-enable them.

Contact the Help Desk if you are experiencing this issue and provide the following information: student's name and the course/section of the cross list that they are officially enrolled in. Example, Joe Suny is officially enrolled in PSYC-100-01 but does not have access to the master section.

Course Names update:  ITS updated the majority of course names in MyCourses to display the correct course name. Courses that are the merged parent course of a cross-listed course are now displaying correctly.

Staff have been added to myCourses.

Blackboard Mobile App: You can now access myCourses through the Blackboard mobile app.

1/16 1:31 pm -

Instructor Display Name: The Instructor Display Name is currently showing a title (Mr., Mrs.). This is information that is provided by the integration with Banner and we are currently looking to see how this can be changed.

Blackboard Mobile App: The Blackboard Mobile App is still pointing to the old Binghamton Blackboard site. We have requested that the app be updated.

Course Names update:  ITS updated the majority of course names in MyCourses to display the correct course name. Courses that are the merged parent course of a cross-listed course are still displayed incorrectly. We are working with Blackboard support to identify a work-around to display the correct course name for these courses.

12/21 11:25 am -

If after importing a course into myCourses, the course name has changed from the Spring 2017 name to the name of the course you imported, contact ITS by email. Include what your course name was changed to (what it says now), the Spring 2017 name, and Spring 2017 Course ID (ie, CHEM107).

11/30 4pm -

The course names in the new myCourses may not appear the same as they are in Banner. We are aware of this issue and are working to resolve it. In the meantime please use the course ID section that is part of the course name to correctly identify your courses. For example, "(HIST-101-01)"
