What file types are supported by Panopto for upload?
With Panopto, the videos you upload are automatically transcoded for optimal playback on any desktop, laptop, smartphone, or tablet. Panopto supports the broadest range of video file formats, including AVI, MP4, MPG, WMV, MOV, QT, ASF, 3GP, WMA, MP3, M4V, and more. More information is available on via Panopto Support.
Can I use Panopto without using myCourses?
Panopto is mainly meant for streaming videos within the Binghamton University myCourses system, but if you have the need to use it outside of myCourses, please contact Eric Machan Howd in the Center for Learning and Teaching.
Can I search within a Panopto Video?

How do Panopto Analytics work?
As long as your viewers are logged into myCourses with their Binghamton University credentials, either via the myCourses website or within the Panopto App for Mobile devices, Panopto will track their viewing of your uploaded material. If you are basing participation or attendance upon the viewing of your Panopto content, you may want to implement additional methods of proving the watching of content for deeper learning. Contact one of the Instructional Designers in the Center for Learning and Teaching to discuss such options.
