Connecting to busecure (WPA2 Enterprise) with Mac OS X 10.10 and newer

Instructions

Create a Mac OS X profile for busecure.

1. From the Apple menu, select System Preferences. Select Network. Click on the Wi-Fi on the left. Make sure the Wi-Fi is on. mac1010_1

2. Click the Wi-Fi symbol on the top right hand corner of the desktop.

3. Select wireless network busecure from list.

4. Enter your Binghamton University Computer Account (PODS) user id and password in the corresponding fields. Select Remember this network. Click Join.

Mac Troubleshooting Tips
• It may be necessary to turn WiFi off and back on in order to connect the first time
• Install all Mac OS software updates, Apple symbol > Software Update
• Check to be sure that busecure is the first network listed in Preferred Networks, if you have a large number of listed networks remove those you no longer use
• Depending on the Mac OS you are using, you may be prompted to verify the certificate each time you attempt to connect to busecure. Just click Continue
