About Desktop Support
Desktop Support provides "cradle-to-grave" support for all University owned computer equipment to include: price quotations for new computers and printers, PC and printer setup, diagnostic analysis, hardware repair and recycling.
Price Quotes for New PCs or Printers
Desktop Support will provide price quotations for PCs, laptops, Macs and printers.

Pickup and delivery of computer equipment can be arranged by calling the ITS Help Desk at 607-777-6420.
This service is available Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Faculty and staff are still welcome to drop their computers off for repair at the ITS Help Desk anytime between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Make your request to use to Concierge Service when reporting your problem to the ITS Help Desk.
ITS will recycle computers and printers according to the "Recycling Computer Equipment" policy.
Equipment can be redeployed or scrapped. Contact the ITS Help Desk for assistance.

Network Share Drives
ITS provides Network Share Drive space to most departments and faculty and staff. We encourage you to learn more about the advantages to storing your data on our secure servers instead of your local computer.
Here is information on how to map drives to Firestone and Bingsuns for a Mac or PC.
Groups of users often share printers located nearby.
Most wired network connected printers can be shared by attaching them to a printer server. Contact the ITS Help Desk at 607-777-6420 to have a printer connected to the network.
- PC will be setup to auto update.
- Staff machines will be added to the "BGM" domain.
- PC Power Management settings - defaulted to factory settings.
ITS provides a computer repair service for University owned computer equipment. Dell and Apple certified technicians will diagnose, provide cost estimates for repairs, and complete repairs. Contact the ITS Help Desk at 607-777-6420 to log a repair call.
Laptop Loaner Program
Faculty and staff who have University owned computer equipment being repaired by ITS will be able to utilize the Laptop Loaner Program to borrow a laptop during the time their computer is being diagnosed and repaired.
Used Computer Equipment
Used computer equipment, in good working order, will be offered to campus departments by ITS on a first-come, first-served basis as equipment becomes available. Contact the ITS Help Desk if you're looking for used equipment.
