Binghamton University unveils free iPhone app


BINGHAMTON, NY -- Binghamton University is now offering iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad users a free app for easy access to campus news, events and other features, including the popular Daily Photo. 

With bMobi current students, faculty and staff, as well as alumni, parents and prospective students, can find ways to connect to Binghamton via the free app available at the Apple iTunes App Store. The app includes:  

Campus Map — A searchable campus map that allows users to pinpoint their location and look up building information. 

Directory — Find contact information for Binghamton students, faculty and staff, view map location or call with your iPhone.

Athletics — Read sports news, schedules and late-breaking scores.

Events — Find details about campus events and even bookmark them for easy retrieval.

Courses — Search for courses, read descriptions, times, location—maps, number of enrollees, instructor.

Videos — Surf and view the latest Binghamton University YouTube videos.

News — Read the latest news, magazine articles and alerts.

Images — Check out the Daily Photo or browse pictures of diverse aspects of the University.

“It’s a great way to stay informed on what’s happening on campus,” said Greg Delviscio, assistant vice president for communications and marketing. “The University is always looking for new ways to put information at the fingertips of the entire University community.”
