Women Business Owners discuss social networking


BINGHAMTON, NY – “Social Networking and Your Market” will be the topic of discussion at the Binghamton University Small Business Development Center’s Women Business Owners Roundtable at 7:30a.m. Wednesday, October 27, at the Binghamton Regency, located on Water Street in Binghamton.

Steve Gorney of s-go Consulting will teach participants how blogging and social media outlets such as Facebook and Twitter can have both a positive and negative effect on an organization. Participants will learn how to effectively use social media and steer current and future clients to their business.

In addition, Gorney will provide participants with ideas about how using these networks to boost marketing efforts, which is vital for bringing a business into the 21st century.          

The roundtable costs $10 a person payable at the door and includes an improved continental breakfast. Attendees are encouraged to bring business cards and brochures to share.
