"Energy Storage" topic of Binghamton University SUNY BEST

BINGHAMTON, NY - The Binghamton University SUNY Business and Education Cooperative of the Southern Tier (SUNY BEST) will host an event featuring an interactive panel of professionals at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 3, in Room 220 at the Binghamton University Downtown Center, 67 Washington St., Binghamton. The meeting is free and open to the public.

 

The panel will discuss today's batteries vs. the batteries of the future, the role of Binghamton University's Smart Energy Facility in future research and development, NYSERDA's focus in promoting new technology and future funding opportunities, the importance of NY BEST and their projects, as well as a practical look at how today's leading industries utilize energy storage. Navigant forecasts that stationary energy storage will grow to a $9 billion business by 2025 and will play a vital role in the future of our economy.

Refreshments will be served at 9:30 a.m. and the presentation will begin at 10 a.m.

There will be directional signage to the meeting room from Washington Street. Free parking will be available on the south side of Susquehanna Street behind the Floyd L. Maines Memorial Arena, as well as via the covered meters on Washington and Susquehanna Streets surrounding the Downtown Center.
