Participants sought for heart health in rural women study

The Women’s Health Care Partnership at Binghamton University is recruiting women ages 45-65, who live in the Walton area for a study on heart health.  Women are invited to attend a free health screening to see if they qualify to participate in the study.

Participants will be asked to keep a journal, participate in a community intervention to promote heart health and attend free health screenings, the first to be held from 9-5 p.m. Saturday, June 3, at Delaware Valley Hospital.

Participants, who will be compensated for their time, will develop a better understanding of heart health risks, which may reduce the risk of heart attack or stroke.

To learn more or to make an appointment call the nurse research team Heart Line at 1-866-330-1687.

The Promoting Heart Health in Rural Women Study is funded in part by the National institutes of Health.
