Failure, the Path to Success is the focus of women business owners roundtable

“Failure, the Path to Success” will be the topic of the Small Business Development Center’s Women Business Owners Roundtable discussion from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Friday, January 28, at the Binghamton Regency on Water Street in downtown Binghamton.

Mary Ann Thompson, a life coach and motivational speaker, will explore ways to overcome the fear of failure, which often keeps beginning entrepreneurs from ever starting a business and causes established business owners enormous stress. Participants will also learn how to view the fear of failure in a new and different way.

Thompson who owns and operates the local business Achieve has served as chairperson for the “Celebrating Women in Business” conference in both 2003 and 2004.

The roundtable costs $7 a person payable at the door and includes a continental breakfast. Attendees are encouraged to bring business cards and brochures to share.

Advance registration is required. Call the Binghamton University’s Small Business Development Center at 607-777-4024 to register.
