Binghamton University hosts third annual international student festival


A kaleidoscope of music, food and sporting events celebrating the culture of Binghamton University’s international student population will be highlighted during the third annual International Student Festival to be held September 19 - 21. Festival activities are free and open to the public.

The festival begins with two championship sporting events on Friday, September 19. A volleyball championship game will be held at 4 p.m. and a basketball championship will tip-off at 6 p.m. Both games will be played in the East Gym. 

Festival highlights on Saturday, September 20, include a soccer championship game scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on the fields located below the East Gym track.

The festival culminates in a food tasting and cultural multimedia showcase to be held at 7:30 p.m. in the Mandela Room of the University Union. The showcase will highlight the cultures of Japan, China, India, Taiwan, the African continent and Korea.

The cultural festival is coordinated through the Office of International Student and Scholar Services and sponsored by 19 campus and community organizations.
