Forum to address Iraqi museum looting


An open discussion, “Material Culture and Ethics: Questions Raised by the Looting of the Iraq Museum,” will be held at 3:30 p.m. Friday, April 25, in room 140 of the Science I building on the Binghamton University campus. The event is free and open to the public.

The forum will feature introductory slides and commentaries by Susan Pollock of the Department of Anthropology, Nancy Um of the Department of Art History and Donald Quataert of the Department of History. Reinhard Bernbeck will moderate.

The forum is sponsored by the Harpur College dean’s office.
