MRC Culture Connects Grant for Cultural Student Organizations

Purpose:         

 

The Culture Connects Grant is designed to promote collaborative efforts in programming among cultural organizations of divers backgrounds. Student groups compete for funding to conduct programs that seek to educate the entire campus community. The recipient organization (s) for grant funding is determined every month.

 

Funding:

Varies, minimum $100 and maximum $400.

Who can Apply: 

 

  • Historically Underrepresented Groups
    • Asian
    • African American/Black
    • Hispanic/Non-White
    • Native American/Alaskan Native
  • Religious Student Groups
  • Cultural Greek-Lettered Community
  • LGBTQ Community
    • Gay, Lesbian, Bi-Sexual, Trans-gendered, Queer, and/or Questioning

 

Requirements:

 

• Must be a SA chartered cultural student organizations
• Seek to provide programs that are educational, culturally inclusive and encourage diversity within the university community.
• Submit a copy of the Culture Connects application to MRC office on time
• Attend the MRC Student Leaders Meeting (twice per semester)
• Email the post event summary form to MRC office along with the group's SA account number

 

Deadline:

Email or submit a copy of the Culture Connects application to MRC office by the 20th day of the month prior to the month which the program will occur. Please have MRC Culture Connects Application in the email subject line.

MRC Korean Student Organization Grant

Purpose:

The Korean Student Organization Grant is designed to encourage Korean/Korean American student organizations to sponsor programs that

(1) promote Korean cultural awareness in the arts, rich history and the evolution of Korean influences in American culture 

(2) are a collaborative efforts among students

(3) are educational in nature

The recipient organization (s) for the grant is determined every month.

 

Funding:

Varies, minimum $500 and maximum $2000.

Who can apply:

The primary grant applicant must be a Korean or Korean American student organization (s)

Requirements:

 

  • Must complete the application in its entirety, answer all the questions.
  • Must  email the post event summary form to MRC office along with the group's SA account number

Deadline:

 

Email or submit a copy of the grant application to MRC office by the 20th day of the month prior to the month which the program will occur. Please have MRC Korean Student Organization Grant Application in the email subject line.
