Nathan Scalise (current M.M. student)

Won the Dolce Suono Ensemble Steven Stucky Young Composers Contest. His winning composition for flute, cello and piano will be performed at the Curtis Institute of Music in May.
 
Mike McAndrew (current M.M. student)
Has been selected as a featured composer for his piece "phases" for clarinet, violin and piano and as a world premiere performance for the International Clarinet Association's ClarinetFest 2017 in Orlando. 

LAURENCE ELDER has been nominated for The emPower Posi Awards with his original song "Now". Posi Awards are part of a nationally recognized event called the emPower Posi Music Festival.  He will be attending the festival in February, where he will perform his nominated song, and the winners in each category will be revealed! Alumnus SPENCER PHILLIPS was accepted to present "Findeisen and His First Concerto" at the next International Society of Bassists convention this June. It's a Biannual convention with a high number of attendees and he will be representing Binghamton University and hopefully recruit future bass students.
