Women business owners discuss innovation for the small business owner
The Small Business Development Center at Binghamton University will present a roundtable discussion on “Innovation for the Small Business Owner.” The Women Business Owners Roundtable will be held from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Friday, September 29, at the Binghamton Regency on Water Street in downtown Binghamton.
Vickie Maxon, training and skills manager at IBM, will discuss innovation and teach participants how to standout among competitors. Maxon will also explore why “differentiation” can lead to sudden and unexpected success.
Maxon also operates two small businesses under the banner Maxon Consulting. One of her key focuses is to help develop innovation skills and awareness among executives, technical communities and employees.
The roundtable costs $10 a person payable at the door and includes a continental breakfast. Attendees are encouraged to bring business cards and brochures to share.
Advance registration is required. Call the SBDC at 607-777-4024 to register.
