1:30pm - 5:00pm: FitSpace Memberships on Sale

  • The East Gym will be open to purchase your Fitspace membership. Rec Center opens for activity on Friday.

3:00pm - 4:15pm: Parent/Guardian/Family Welcome to the Community

  • It's time to say good-bye to your student and start (or continue) your life as the parent/guardian of a college student. Come meet the Assistant Director and Faculty Master of your student's residential community and learn what to expect in this next step.

  • You've met your RA and your roommate, now's your chance to meet the rest of the people living on your floor!

  • Join us in the Hillside Commons as we welcome everyone to the apartments. You'll get to meet the professional staff, hear more about living in the apartments and ask any questions about living on-campus!

  • This is your opportunity to get to know and meet your fellow apartment neighbors! Meet the staff who will be working with you throughout the year: Community Director (CD), Assistant Community Directors (ACD) and Resident Assistants (RA).

4:30pm - 5:30pm: Apartments Transfer Student Social

  • This is a great way to meet other transfer students in the apartments. Join us for free food and good company!

  • Receive your official welcome to the Binghamton University family and enjoy a BBQ dinner provided by Sodexo Dining Services with your friends and fellow students from other residential communities.

  • Begin your academic journey in Harpur College of Arts and Sciences! Dean Anne McCall will welcome you and introduce Professor Ann Merriwether, an instructor for the Introduction to Psychology class. Professor Merriwether will lead an interactive lecture that will help you understand what psychological research tells us about the challenges in transitioning to college.
