University Police Officer Quanison T. Wright Wins The Lt. James P. Cavanaugh Community Service Award for the second year in a row.

 Quanison T. Wright

University Police Officer Quanison T. Wright is the winner of the 2014 Lieutenant James P. Cavanaugh award for Outstanding Community Service.  Officer Wright has served as a police officer at Binghamton University since 1998, and during that time has demonstrated his commitment to the community through his distinguished service.  The letters of nomination for Officer Wright clearly showed that Officer Wright frequently goes "above and beyond the strict call of duty".  In addition to his duties as a police officer, Officer Wright has served as a friend, advisor and mentor to students.  One student letter of nomination included the following quote.

"Whenever I need anything, well beyond any incident or situation in which an officer would be called, I can rely on Q to always help me."

Congratulations to Officer Quanison T. Wright for being the first person to ever win this prestigious award twice!
