Since President Theodore Roosevelt's administration first created the idea of national parks and protected places, the ways we impact, engage and change the environment has become a national search for balance among business and society's growth and protecting the world we live in. The complexity of this balance, how human activity and the ecosystem we inhabit, presents challenges and choices that law, policy, philosophy and religion all seek to confront and offer answers.
