Crowdfunding supports Summer Scholars and Artists
A special crowdfunding initiative turned the spotlight on the Summer Scholars and Artists Program, which supports undergraduate students conducting research, scholarship or creative activities during the summer.
A variety of social media and Web platforms were used to promote current student projects and raise donor support for the program. Eight students were featured. Among their projects: A novel about Jamaican culture, a study to address deer overpopulation at Binghamton and the impact American oil operations had on the Middle East.
