TAG Day celebrates donor impact campuswide

The Binghamton Fund, Student Philanthropy Committee and other members of the campus community celebrated Binghamton University’s third annual TAG (Thank-A-Giver) Day on March 9. The event was created to engage and educate the University community about the impact of giving and all the ways donor support enhances everyone’s experience at Binghamton.

Members of the Student Philanthropy Committee affixed tags to more than 500 items and places across campus to highlight what donor support has made possible. “I Give Back” and “I Benefit” buttons were also distributed at Bartle Library, the MarketPlace and other locations on campus.

This year’s event featured new items that were tagged; a scavenger hunt for students; free hot chocolate bar in the MarketPlace where TAG Day information and buttons were provided; and students writing thank-you notes to donors, photographing themselves with the messages and posting the images on social media to get the word out on campus and beyond.
