Web development

Binghamton University became the first in the SUNY system to have what is known as a responsive page when its Web developers created a homepage within the University’s Omni Update content management system that can be easily viewed on all devices, including mobile devices. The University’s first step was to launch the responsive homepage, and now a number of other campus departments have had their pages migrated to a new responsive template.

In conjunction with these new templates, the Office of Creative Services is training people across campus to work with them. In the first two months of training, nearly 50 people attended beginner or advanced classes, in addition to the nearly 20 people who regularly attend monthly Omni Update User Group meetings.
