Chancellor's Award for Student Excellence

Nomination deadline: mid-December
Eligibility: graduating students-both undergraduate and graduate
Description: The Chancellor's Award for Student Excellence recognizes students for the integration of academic excellence with other aspects of their lives which may include leadership, community service, arts, athletics and career achievement. Seniors are automatically nominated for the President's Award for Undergraduate Student Excellence. 

President's Award for Undergraduate Student Excellence

Nomination Deadline: mid-December for seniors; mid-late February for juniors
Eligibility: juniors and seniors
Description: The student will have enriched the Binghamton University community through a record of accomplishment and leadership in such areas as scholarship, student life, and community life, all of which reflect the University's purposes and priorities. Students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25.

Provost's Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Research

Nomination Deadline: mid-March
Eligibility: graduating seniors
Description: The award honors excellence in faculty-mentored research and creative activities by undergraduate students that go beyond traditional coursework. These activities can be in any field; the nature of the endeavor will be defined by the academic discipline. At least a portion of the research/creative activity must have been performed under the supervision of a Binghamton faculty member. Nominations must be made by the unit's (school/department/program) undergraduate director or chair.

Provost's Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Research Mentoring

Nomination Deadline: intention to nominate-late February; nomination-late March
Eligibility: full-time Binghamton University faculty
Description: The Provost's Award for Faculty Excellence in Undergraduate Research Mentoring honors Binghamton University faculty who have demonstrated an extraordinary commitment as mentors of Binghamton's undergraduate students in research, scholarship or creative activities outside of normal course assignments. Nominations will be made by program chairs and undergraduate directors.
