Myers Family Scholarship

Funded by the Shamrock 5 Foundation, this scholarship has been established to increase access to study abroad for Binghamton University students. Scholarships for study abroad in the amount of $1,500 are available.

Binghamton University students with a GPA of 2.7 or higher who are participating on a Binghamton or other SUNY sponsored program in the summer, fall, winter, or spring terms are eligible to apply.

Strong preference will be given to students historically underrepresented in study abroad and exchange. This includes (but is not limited to):
•students with financial need
•Pell Grant recipients
•first generation college students
•students with disabilities
•members of minority communities within the United States
•non-traditional students
•STEM majors

Students who have never traveled abroad before may also be considered within this definition. This scholarship is applicable to any study abroad program that qualifies for academic credit-- regardless of location, use of language, and length of time. (There is no location or language requirement or minimum amount of time that you need to be abroad).
