Student Support Services at Binghamton University is part of the federal TRiO programs which are funded by the United States Department of Education.

Mission

Student Support Services, in partnership with Binghamton University, is a premier program which promotes academic success and personal growth for First-Generation, Low-Income, or Students with Disabilities. Through innovative practices and programming, students are able to achieve their goals and enrich their college experiences.

How We Achieve

SSS students receive support services including:

  • Academic advising
  • Career coaching
  • Personal counseling
  • Free tutoring services
  • Leadership development
  • Assistance in obtaining financial aid
  • and more.

We also provide workshops and seminars on a variety of topics including computer literacy, study skills, time management, and career exploration. In addition, SSS students are given the opportunity (and are encouraged) to attend cultural enrichment events.
