Residential Life

    On Campus

At Binghamton University, residential life fosters a sense of community and pride. Binghamton offers six unique living communities, each with its own culture, traditions, student government, dining hall, quad and recreational facilities, so you'll never have to go far to grab a bite to eat, play volleyball with friends or find a faculty or staff member to answer your questions.

    Off Campus

The affordability and availability of off-campus housing, coupled with free bus service, make it easy to find housing in the surrounding area. Our Off Campus College (OCC) maintains a list of housing options, facilitates connections with potential housemates and runs a legal clinic that can assist with lease reviews. The OCC also hosts a variety of community events and educational programs that help students integrate into the greater Binghamton community.

Health and Wellness

Health and wellness have been top priorities for years at Binghamton, so it's no surprise that Binghamton was named one of the healthiest colleges in the country. B-Healthy (our healthy campus initiative) supports anyone and everyone pursuing a healthy lifestyle.

Dining Services

Load up on nutritious food from salad to sushi in the dining halls. Are you gluten intolerant, vegan or have allergies? No worries! Binghamton has you covered too.

University Counseling Center

Don't neglect your mental well-being — it's important for both academic and personal success. Our Counseling Center offers free mental health services to all students.

Nature Preserve

The Nature Preserve boasts 190 acres of protected forests, wetlands and a six-acre pond. With over 11 miles of hiking and running trails, it's a great place to keep fit.

Wellness Suite

Our Wellness Suite offers massage therapy, energy treatments and nutrition counseling (hot stone massage, anyone?).

BU Acres Farm

The BU Acres Farm, located close to campus, promotes sustainability through locally grown produce.

Tobacco-free Campus

FitSpace, Binghamton's 10,000-square-foot campus fitness center, offers a wide range of exercise options.

Aquatics

Classes include individual sessions, fun instructional classes like FloatFit and Aqua Aerobics as well as Triathlon training.
