Mentor a student online, on your time

By Steve Seepersaud

Because you’re busy with professional and personal obligations, we’ve made it easier for you to make a difference in the life of a current Binghamton student.

Mentor Match is a new program offered by the Alumni Association and Fleishman Center for Career and Professional Development. The objective is to connect students with alumni mentors. Communication happens online, within the secure platform, so you can volunteer on your time from wherever you are.

Become a mentor and share your personal experiences, provide meaningful insights on job market and industry trends, assist students in building their professional networks and support your alma mater through meaningful service.

Mentor Match already has about 1,000 students and alumni, but we’ve launched Match Madness to grow the platform even more. This month, we’re getting the word out any way possible to encourage students and alumni to sign up.

Visit our site to learn more and create your free account. Choose the career cluster that matches up with the industry in which you are working; then our students will be reaching out to initiate a conversation with you. If you have questions, contact the Office of Alumni Engagement at alumni@binghamton.edu.
