The Alumni Association has long been committed to providing opportunities for current students to engage in meaningful networking with alumni. This commitment is being reaffirmed this academic year by an increase in programming to bring students and alumni together.

Highlights of this expanded slate of programming include:

Introduction of the online Binghamton University Mentoring Program: This will provide mentoring matches for students in a variety of fields. Harpur Edge is already using the platform; it will expand to the School of Management and the Thomas J. Watson School of Engineering and Applied Science later in the spring of 2019, then University-wide during the fall 2019 semester.

Expansion of "Binghamton in the City" programming to Boston and Washington, D.C.: Following the success of employer visits and career nights in New York City, the programs expanded to Boston and Washington on a relatively small scale. Students from the two regions will have even more opportunities in 2018-19 to connect with alumni at employer visits and networking events.

Establishment of a Future Alumni Network (FAN): This is a group of students working in close partnership with the alumni office to create dynamic programs for students who wish to invest in their career development during their time on campus.

If you’re a School of Management or Watson School graduate, we’ll be in touch when alumni can register for the Binghamton University Mentoring Program. Alumni in the Boston and Washington, D.C. areas will be contacted later this academic year about participating in career-development programs.

We already have a number of ways you can make a difference to our current students. See our volunteer opportunities and get involved today!
