This year we are hosting an Akhand Kirtani Jatha (AKJ) program - also known as a Rainsbai Kirtan - at the local Gurudwara (Sikh place of worship) in Vestal, NY. This is when a community of people come together and sing hymns called shabads, sung with all types of instruments like a harmonium, tabla (percussion instrument), dilruba (string insturment), and more.
