Ensuring academic success means that we are able to effectively reach and teach all students.  This session explores how faculty become culturally competent educators by having the ability to motivate students to learn more. The activities focus on our privileged agreements in higher education and how we can encourage more students to move from a fixed mindset about course content to a growth mindset. (We understand that you may be teaching during this time and therefore unavailable to attend. The workshops will not be recorded.)

Registration is required at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeQmBck0bkXqtjH_AM1ExB0mz7TTLXA0osc_L7DTFatcMlkDg/viewform

The Division of Academic Affairs and the Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion are sponsoring a series of three required workshops for new faculty on inclusive pedagogy. The workshop series on Inclusive Pedagogy includes three sessions presented by the UDiversity Educational Institute that involve engaging content that includes best practices in the field, activities, scenarios and discussions that connect university instructors and work to create understandings and expectations for student success in the classroom.
