“One professor that I really look up to at Binghamton is professor Steve Ortiz, the director of the scholars program here. When I wanted to start a double major in history, he really encouraged me to follow through with that and has been really supportive of me giving a TEDx talk here at the University. He is just a great supporter of students here, and it’s amazing.” “I am giving a TEDx talk Sunday, March 19, at the Anderson Center here at Binghamton called “Why feminism shouldn't scare you” and it’s Women's History Month, if you didn't know. So I’m going to be giving a TEDx talk about how the language we use in society hinders progression against sexism. So it's going to be talking about how we can improve our language and how that can help with the separation between genders. I’m excited and it’ll be fun.”
