Binghamton University invites public to assist with artist selection for Harriet Tubman sculpture
SUNY Chancellor John B. King Jr. congratulates Tubman Center Associate Director, Associate Dean of Decker College and Associate Professor of Public Health Sharon Bryant, left, and Tubman Center Director and Professor of History Anne Bailey, after they gave remarks regarding the center and the importance of a new Harriet Tubman statue that will be installed at the University Downtown Center. New York Secretary of State Robert Rodriguez, NYS Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo, President Harvey Stenger, Provost Donald Hall, and College of Community and Public Affairs Dean Laura Bronstein joined them during the presentation. The Harriet Tubman Center for Freedom and Equity at Binghamton University invited the public to provide feedback on a proposed Harriet Tubman statue for the community.
