National Chemistry Week

To celebrate National Chemistry Week, instructor Benjamin Turnpenny leads an experiment, with assistance from biological sciences major Liam Spiro, at the end of his Chemistry 104 class, Oct. 27. By mixing silver nitrate, ammonium hydroxide and sodium hydroxide with dextrose, the reaction reduced the silver to make a mirror effect from inside a clear glass soda bottle.
