1st Annual Drawing Marathon

Held on Friday, March 11, 10:00 am – Saturday, March 12, 10:00 am
Binghamton University Art Museum, Main Gallery

Exhibition in the main gallery of the work of all drawing marathon participants: Richard Mattson, Gianna Patrino, Erica Hasselbach, Jorden James, Rebecca Stein, Troy Richards, Aika Matsushiro, Rebecca Ho, Valerie Shlimov, Brittany Cartie, Eric Adolf, and Seth Wegener. It was a great pleasure for us at the museum to have live artists producing such high-quality work is such a short period of time. Artists, including students, alumni, and community members, worked for 24 hours to complete a finished figure drawing. And yes, the live model,Ivan Mendoza, posed (with breaks!) for the entire event!

The marathon was generously sponsored by the Fleishman Center for Career and Professional Development, the Harpur College Dean’s Office, Binghamton University alumni, and the Department of Art and Design. A special thanks goes to Commercial Art Supply in Syracuse for providing the art kits.
